Happy Monday! I wrote out a post yesterday about my
measurements but they pretty much didn’t change at all womp womp… So I decided
I wouldn’t be boring and list the exact same measurements again. I was kind of
bummed about it, but when you eat as many brownies as I have this last week you
can’t complain! I think I am going to have to get a lot more dedicated with my
diet if I want to shred the inches L
I have known I need to work on this, but I LOVE FOOD! Baby steps I suppose…
Anywho even though
the weather is crappy and cold, I only ran 2.5 miles this morning, and I REALLY
wanted to crawl back in bed when my alarm went off I’m in a pretty crazy good
mood today J I
love days like today, where I am just in a good mood for no reason. Monday’s are notorious bad days for me (duh
they are for everyone), but I made myself get my butt out of bed and get my
workout in this morning. I really think
that is a lot of the reason that I am in such a good mood today. After my run I
went to a yoga class. I have been meaning to go to one or two a week since I
started my morning routine, but I had always found an excuse not to go. It was
only the 2nd one I had ever been to, but it was definitely just what
the doctor ordered! We did a lot of “poses” that stretched out my hips and
worked on strengthening them, so I am going to quit making excuses and make
sure I get my yoga in! I was the only one there not in retirement and I felt
weird having to leave 15 minutes early to get to work but whatevs!
Before my yoga class I had gone to the park to get in my run
and I had planned on going 4 miles when I left my house, then once I started
running I revised that to 3 miles, and then once the wind really kicked my ass
and I could hardly run I took a shortcut back to my car and only ended up doing
2.5… Ah well it’s only Monday and you have to start somewhere! Normally I would
feel bad for being a quitter but the wind was REALLY blowing, like seriously
looked like I was running in slow motion trying to run into it. I decided there
was no way I was going to make it the mile back to my car running into the
wind, so I took the short cut. Oh and I learned that 15 minutes of extra sleep
is NOT worth feeling like you are going to throw up your whole run. I decided
to sleep till 6:00 instead of getting up at 5:45 so my “breakfast” (8oz of
green smoothie and a pb banana oatmeal bite) didn’t have time to digest and I
definitely regretted it. I thought since it was a little lighter than the
normal peanut butter English muffin and banana that I would be ok but I was
wrong! My run was super duper slow (grrrr) but I’m going to blame it on the
wind/feeling like I was going to throw up 2.5 minutes in 27 minutes, yep
totally could win the nursing home race at that pace!
I get to get off work an hour early today (yay!! Told you
today is a good day!), so I am going to the Spartacus class at the gym (that I
thought I was going to last Monday and ended up taking the world’s worst cardio
kickboxing class instead) and then Zumba. I’m definitely getting my exercise in
today, but after all the crap I have eaten I need it! I hope everyone’s week is
off to as good of a start as mine!
